Does choosing the cleaner for Transmission clear the data which calculates upload/download ratio?
Are there options/cleaners best avoided when running as root?

Hi,
Running Ubuntu 10.04. Just did update to and runs fine through terminal. But the System Tools menu in Applications has vanished, and (also) no longer in System Tools in System, Preferences, System Tools.
Not a big issue to me as I generally run through terminal, but thought you should know.
Thanks
Dave

Hi,
BleachBit 0.8.1 Portable won't start on my WinXP SP3 machine. The traceback in the "bleachbit.exe.log" file contains the following:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "bleachbit.py", line 42, in
File "bleachbit\GUI.pyo", line 37, in
File "bleachbit\Common.pyo", line 151, in
TypeError: int argument required
Can anybody tell me, what's wrong and how I get the program working?
Thanks

Hi! I have 3 questions here :
1) I am using Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit. I installed from repos the bleachbit. But when i try to install the bonus package it writes : "Sorry, 'bleachbit-bonus' is not available for this type of computer (i386)." But i can install the bonus package properly (and it works) by downloading from official web site of Bleachibt. But now i have to install manually when updating the bonus pack, also i am not user if it is stable my system because of this error which i get from "software center" of Ubuntu 10.04.

Hi,
I just downloaded and tested Bleachbit V0.8.0 on a Windows 7 Starter 32bit. It seems to be exactly what I was searching for, thanks for that! One drawback, though: The Firefox, which I am using right now to write this message, is not shown as a cleaning option. Could this be due to some configuration I made? The documentation says, not the application will be detected but its cache. Maybe there is none? But that seems unlikely. How could I check what is going on? It's V3.6.8 of Firefox. And it is a German system. Maybe it is a localization issue.

About a week ago (Sept. 1,2010), I tried downloading/installing the above mentioned bleachbit program to get rid of, "Recent Document History" in OpenOffice.org. The program works great for this purpose as I've used it before. The problem is, to install a .deb (executable) file is usually (easily) done by just clicking on the download, in this case however, it does'nt install but reports an error, missing file or some such problem. I went back online and tried a, if memory serves, bleachbit_whatever- "_all_debian.deb".

BB says it can't clean firefox because it's "open"
It's not open in the Task Manager

I have installed BB 0.8.0 under Win 7 64 bit. BB erases my recycle bin normally. I have checked all the boxes to delete IE temp files, history etc. Delete function seems to run normally without errors. But then when I open a new IE window, the old history is still shown in the drop down list. Clearly the history is not being deleted....why?

Hi there, I recently installed BB 0.8.0 on Windows 7 x64 and I don't see many cleaners, like Flash or Chromium (whom I'm currently using and abusing)...
I've tried to show the useless ones in the options panel, but it only adds Firefox, Reader, OpenOffice and many others.
I've also tried with an older version (0.7.4) and with the portable version.
I hope you can help me with this one !

I am looking for replacement for ATF-Cleaner. As far as I can understand Ccleaner does not extend its cleaning to other user profiles.
Does BB clean temps from other user profiles too besides the one that is running it?
I am specifically looking for quick app that would help clean files from multi-user PCs.
