I downloaded the 0.8.0 windows executable and it wouldn't install at all. A dos window opened and closed but installation didn't proceed. I did this twice with the same result on two different computers.
I downloaded the zipped version and installation was OK on both computers, except that I got the same message on both: "Error loading the SQLite module: the antivirus software may be blocking it." I couldn't find any evidence that BitDefender was blocking it nor a way of preventing it blocking it. (However, this doesn't mean that it is not happening.)

I cannot download a 64 bit version of the updated0.8.0 and the 32 bit version will not install, instead failing to an error message stating that I have the incorrect type of program for my operating system. The download link only opens a 32 bit .exe.

I greatly appreciate Bleachbit (0.7.4), which seems to run fine - except for one error message - on my desktop machine using Ubuntu 9.10 (64 bit).

However, after running Bleachbit I get an error message stating the "database disk image is malformed." Frankly I have no idea what this means, and both Bleachbit and my system seem to work fine.

Nevertheless, it would be nice if this could be addressed in the next version of Bleachbit.

Vista Home Premium on Gateway M-6827. I can clean as Administrator but not as normal user. Have tried extensively to work around including shift+right click+administrator in normal user which only cleans administrator. How to clean normal user in normal user or Administrator? -Thanks!

When I run bleachbit as a regular user, there's a lot of files I can't delete due to permissions yet when I run it as root, it doesn't even pick up the same files. How can I erase them because its like 500mb to clear

Hello,
I just try to install bleachbit on my gentoo system. I have try a ebuild that i found in a special Overlay (zugaina).
I think to installation works ok. but when I started bleachbit, i don't have all the option available. for example, I don't see some menu like opera, kde, rhythmbox etc... and all these programmes are installed on my system. When i use the "hide irrelevant cleaner" option, I see only firefox, oppenoffice und rpmbuild menu.
At the End, i see the system menu.
I have not idea what could be wrong ?

Running Ubuntu 10, Thunderbird 3, BB 0.7.4

Thunderbird does not show up in the list of applications that can be cleaned. Thunderbird does appear on Windows version of BB, not on Ubuntu
