Very fine software.
I have an important security concern I'm hoping you can help solve.
Question 1:
How can I be sure the .xml updates are legitimate and from you,
what checks are in place? Is there a method to verify the updates via hash or key or otherwise?
Question 2:
Can I accept 'all' updates at once without having to click OK to each one?
Thank you much.
Justin

hi, running Ubuntu 9.10 and although BleachBit as Administrator shows in the menu. It doesn't actually run. I can run BB in the terminal as root of course, but would be nice to get the menu to work. I'm new to Linux so I don't know how to add applications to run at a root level.
thanks

Hi,
Have .70 version with system logs extras. (Ubuntu 9.04)
After running as "admin" and "normal" all my menus revert from "List" view to "Icon" view - not immediately but only after a restart.
Please advise which bit of Bleachbit does this so I can uncheck the box.
Thanks
Dave

This did not happen until 0.7.0 came out so I am certain that there is something in the newly added clean-up features that erases the components that are Dropbox daemon. I have not yet isolated the problem, but if you use Dropbox automatic file backup utility (www.getdropbox.com), you may want to unselect the newly added features such as Deep Scan. Otherwise next time you try to link Dropbox to your harddrive it will have to download and reinstall the daemon. In any case files saved in your Dropbox directory (usually /home/you/Dropbox/) remain intact.

hello,
starting BleachBit 0.6.5 in Ubuntu the Recent Document list is still filled, also there was a recent run of BleachBit. This is a reocurrence of a problem solved in BleachBit 0.6.3
Also the History of Chromium is still filled after BleachBit has run and the tick is set in the options.

I used bleachbit in the admin mode the clean up almost everything, I used to clean the places in the firefox too. I was okay with the operation.
But now, the firefox is unable to hold on to any homepage I set. After setting the homepage, I go to about:config to see it is set properly, restart firefox and see again, it is vanished and homepage is set to some other default.
Firefox version 3.0.14
Bleachbit version 0.6.4

Hi
How many passes Bleachbit does when you select the "free disk space" option ? 35 passes ? For example Ccleaner with the Gutmann option doeas 35 passes.
Is it as efficient as eraser for windows ? Or "secure-delete" for linux with the command : sudo sfill -v / ?

Sam
