Linux Google Chrome Passwords

When running BleachBit 0.9.4 to clean up Google Chrome my saved passwords are being deleted. I figured since Google Chrome does not have a Passwords check box option similar to Firefox that my passwords would not be removed.

Running BleachBit 0.9.4 on Linux Mint 13

I cannot reproduce this with BleachBit 0.9.4 on Ubuntu 12.10 with Google Chrome 23. I cleaned all the Google Chrome options, and my password for www.mailbolt.com is still there. Does this happen to all sites? Which sites does it happen to?

All sites. Using Google Chrome version 23.0.1271.97.

Does it help if you add this file to the whitelist?

~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Login Data

Yes, added the file to the whitelist and now my saved passwords are still there after cleaning with all options checked. Thank you Andrew for your help.

BleachBit 0.9.5 beta, coming soon, will have passwords as a separate option (LaunchPad bug# 1093018).

The fix is ready for testing in BleachBit 0.9.5 beta. It separates Google Chrome and Chromium passwords as a separate option. Let me know how it goes.

Upgraded to 0.9.5beta but '~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Login Data' is still being deleted even if the Passwords option under Google Chrome is unchecked.

Thank you for checking. You are right. Please try 0.9.5 beta 2. (BTW, you probably realized you can tell whether the bug is fixed using the preview without deleting any files.)

Andrew everything is working great now. Thank you for the updates.

Your going to put "~/.config/google-chrome/Default/Login Data" without properly giving the Terminal Command instructions for either Gedit or Leafpad....? Some of us are not "Sheldon Cooper" when dealing with Linux / Ubuntu

Apachedoc: This conversation is out dated. Since BleachBit 0.9.5 (released three years ago) the option of deleting Login Data is separated into its own option labeled Passwords, so you don't need the terminal, gedit, or leafpad. :)
