"[Errno 2] No translation file found for domain: bleachbit" - Error if Translations are not installed - Version 0.8.1
If you uncheck translations you get the following error when you start the application.
unchecking translations suggests that "other then English" translations are not installed and that all needed files for the chosen/default language are available.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "bleachbit\Common.pyo", line 176, in
File "gettext.pyo", line 469, in translation
IOError: [Errno 2] No translation file found for domain: 'bleachbit'

File "bleachbit\Common.pyo", line 176, in
File "gettext.pyo", line 469, in translation
IOError: [Errno 2] No translation file found for domain: 'bleachbit'
Installing the App with Translations fixes the issue.

Details to reproduce
Ronny,
Thanks for the stack trace, but I can't reproduce this on my Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7. Which version of Windows do you use? Is your Windows set to English? Which antivirus/security software do you use, and does the error happen when it is in game mode?
(I moved the post.)

My Locale will probably
My Locale will probably resolve to Dutch by default.
AV/Security makes no difference.

Fixed
Thanks for the report.
The problem is specific to non-English systems with missing BleachBit translations. This usually happens only on Windows (any version of Windows with any kind of anti-virus/security software). The problem started before BleachBit 0.8.1, and the workaround is to install translations (at least one, maybe not the same as your language) or to set Windows to English.
It is fixed for BleachBit version 0.8.2. Watch for the beta by subscribing to RSS/ATOM or Twitter using the icons on the right.
