For those experiencing the issue with Default Apps (i.e. photo viewer and video player ) on Windows 10 or Windows 11 changing as a result of using Bleachbit, here is what you need to do:
Deselect the following option:
[Microsoft Windows]
Windows Shell
Prior versions labeled this option "Cached File Extensions", and at the time it actually warned users that ticking it would probably reset Windows default programs back to default. Now the option is labeled "Windows Shell" with no warnings. When people experience the issue they of course assume there must be a bug in Windows when it's actually this Bleachbit option.
