"New" launchpad bug (login) site

Is there a blurb anywhere about needing to create a new launchpad account for the current launchpad site / address (or if it's necessary)?

I had a launchpad account on the older site (circa 2012).
Now - when on the bug site: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bleachbit/
when I click Login link, it re-directs to https://login.launchpad.net/RiXywuYvbhmRamd7/+decide,
which mentions: "Ubuntu One is the single account you use to log in to all services and sites related to Ubuntu." I don't use Ubuntu - but may not matter.

My old launchpad login doesn't work. Past a certain date, are new account setups required for the current site?

The Ubuntu one is for launchpad now. That was recently changed a few months ago. I think old logins were wiped, but I am unsure about that. You should contact the owner of launchpad about that.

I was able to keep my Launchpad account and somehow migrate it to Ubuntu One, which is Canonical's new single-sign-on system. I don't remember having any trouble, so it must have been seamless or mostly seamless. Maybe you just need a password reset? You can also consider creating a new account, searching for your old bug tickets, then subscribing to them.

Canonical is the company that is responsible for Launchpad, Ubuntu, and Ubuntu One, but it is true that it doesn't matter whether you use Ubuntu.

I compared several other bug trackers (including GitHub and SourceForge), and Launchpad is the best. GitHub is trying to catch up, so we'll see.
