Doesnt clean history

Forums:

I am using versiuon 0.7.2 with Ubuntu 9.10. I have Bash selected (both boxes checked). I also have Google earth selected (both boxes checked). I run bleachbit as root. After cleaning, I opened terminal, and used the up arrow. All the commands I had typed were still there. Also, the history for Google earth was still there too. Am I doing something wrong? Its not a big issue, just thought you should know. Thanks--RB

For Bash, you should close Bash before using BleachBit because Bash may keep its history in memory where BleachBit cannot clean it.

For Google Earth, BleachBit only deletes the temporary files (not history). You could file a feature request at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bleachbit/ and please be specific where the history is (in case there are multiple histories).

I had everything closed at the time. I will have to look into why I keep getting err no 13. Now it wont clean anything. Another topic though. thanks for the reply..RB

Ok, I still cant get it to clear the recent documents history or much of anything. When I select preview, it shows that there is about 115 Mb of old stuff that should be removed. When I select delete, it gives me a list of faults, with errno 1 and wont clean anything. It worked at one time (months ago) . Whenever I upgrade to the newest version, it stops working. I must be doing something wrong, but what? I may just have to continue using the older version from the repository. Any help would be appreciated.

Please copy and paste the errors verbatim in to your reply. When you write "newest version," you mean 0.7.2 that you downloaded from my web site?
