Download latest version
Click "Download" and then "Linux." Make sure you do not click "Old versions" which is where it sounds you are based on your description. Yes, there will be an RPM for Fedora 16 (that is the system I am using right now). I'm building it now, and I'll try to upload it today. The F15 RPM may work also.

Nope didn't click on older versions page stated 0.9.1 was up & under deb & rpm had 0.9.0 available up to f15 was like that since the availability if it was already up then my isp dns just plain sucks..
ran from source sometime after I posted so far haven't noticed any issues worth noting.
Thanks for getting the rpm up for f16 :) makes installing easier (I'll dabble with compiling one day, tried make install like a n00b & got only an icon in the "system" folder/section but all good now, removed the unpacked dir & installed from rpm)
Do you use ext4 with lvm? I find that bleachbit cannot stop swap so I usually do this before booting bleachbit if fedora is nice enough at the time to allow me to do it so not entirely a bb bug. swapoff works better in terminal than stopping under disk-util

The other day I noticed Linux page did read "0.9.0," but all the downloads were actually 0.9.1. I fixed that.
No, I use Fedora 16 with ext3. I can't remember whether I have LVM. I've been upgrading Fedora for many years (maybe since around 2004) and haven't reinstalled often---maybe ever(?). If you think there is a bug, the best place to record it is https://bugs.launchpad.net/bleachbit/ so it does not get lost.

The app doesn't provide the ability to setup (in preferences) a list of additional "to be cleaned" files and directories.
I searched the forum and noted that someone had already requested this functionality "46 weeks ago".

Is there some hope this feature will eventually be added, or is has it been considered and dismissed?

There is hope: it's just a matter of unlimited desires and limited time. For now, you have two options:
1. Click the file menu to shred individually files and folders
2. Create your own cleaner using CleanerML.
In the future, post this kind of question in the forum rather on a release page.
