Winapp2.ini

Forums:

Hiya, from the Piriform Forums!

I recently noticed that BleachBit supports the file Winapp2.ini, which is delightful. The support page for winapp2.ini on your website, however, links to an old version of the file.

Here is a link to my post over on the Piriform Forums, which is the root post for the winapp2.ini file development (it contains a download link for the newest version, and is updated somewhat frequently (about 2-4 times per CCleaner release cycle, typically)

http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310

The download link for the file directly is

I hope that you can update your support page for the file to include one of those links, and again, I'm delighted you have included support for the file in the Windows version of BleachBit :)

Thank you kindly for the update. I just updated Documentation: Winapp2.ini.

in xp it says:
◦Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\BleachBit\Cleaners\
--after bleachbit-i don't find the folder "cleaners..i only see a bleachbit.ini

To create a new folder in Windows Explorer in Windows XP (if I remember correctly) click File - New - Folder, and then name it Cleaners, and then you can put Winapp2.ini in there

Would you be a good contact for typos? In the entries below, HKCM is invalid.

[EssentialPIM Desktop Logs*]
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKCM\SOFTWARE\RegisteredApplications\EssentialPIM
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\EssentialPIM\Logs|*.*

[EssentialPIM Pro Desktop Logs*]
LangSecRef=3021
Detect=HKCM\SOFTWARE\RegisteredApplications\EssentialPIM Pro
Default=False
FileKey1=%AppData%\EssentialPIM Pro\Logs|*.*

By the way, support for Winapp2.ini gets even better in the upcoming BleachBit version 0.8.8.
