Unattended install not creating shortcut or on program files menu in Windows
Greetings, I have had an unattended installer running (executable with /S) and when systems meet the criteria for the installer to run, a shortcut is not created and the program files group is not available on the start menu. The only way to run the program is to use Windows Explorer GUI and navigate to the path C:\Program Files\BleachBit\bleachbit_console.exe. Is there anyone that would have any knowledge or expertise with this particular item?

Are you running the installer
Are you running the installer as the same Windows user account under which you are checking for the shortcut? My guess is that the shortcut is created for a different Windows user account.
For example, if you run the installer as chessmate, the installer creates
C:\Users\chessmate\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\BleachBit\BleachBit.lnk
Please check for that file, and let me know how it goes. I can work on adding better support for multiple users.
As a short-term workaround, move the .lnk files to the All Users folder (replacing chessmate with All Users.

I am not running the installer as the same user account. I am using a product from Dell's subsidiary Quest, called KACE. This is a systems software and patch management appliance. This pushes software VIA its own Windows Services which use the NT Authority\System level account to install. I have a separate push to send the shortcut to target systems.

When you wrote, "I have a separate push to send the shortcut to target systems," I think you mean you have your own workaround, but in the future you would like the installer to do it, so I filed this as issue GH#230

Yes, I have my own workaround
Yes, I have my own workaround. I was not caffeinated enough when I wrote that :-) Yes I would love to see the installer do that in the future. Thank you!
