At least a couple of times, I've deleted all the passwords stored in Brave Browser using Bleachbit.
Nevertheless, I remain a Taliban of Bleachbit :-)
I limited the damage and the time by importing an older version of Chrome's passwords, but the longest task was figuring out which flag or flags were responsible for the deletion, which I had mistakenly checked.
Since I'm notoriously limited, it took me some time, repeating the same mistake, before understanding which checkbox to avoid.
So I think it's helpful—provided the change hasn't already been implemented in the newly downloaded v6.0—to clearly indicate the effect of checking all the boxes on the left.
I understand it's a lot of work, but once the first version of the effects of each deletion is created, all subsequent ones will be much quicker to implement or fix.
For now I indicate the selection that I believe is responsible for the deletion of the passwords. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if not, please write it next to the correct entry: I believe it's "Brave Auto Fill Data" included in the Winapp2.ini extension.
Cheers
PS
It wouldn't be bad if the three controls at the top right (minimize, maximize, close)
were larger. Even taking into account the width (and length) of the bar.

The minimal controls will certainly be elegant, but let's also remember those who unfortunately don't have 11/10' of vision :-)

I am sorry to hear that. I want no surprises for users.
Thank you for your support!
BleachBit 6.0.0 did have multiple changes to improve clarity and safety, but there were no changes specific to Winapp2.ini.
No, I don't think so. Please try this test. Right-click on Brave Auto Fill Data in the tree view on the left. Then, right-click on Preview so it previews just the single option.
Does it show a file named
Login Data? If not, then it is not deleting passwords.Watch out for Brave Login Data Extras. This deletes passwords. You can add the
Login Datafile to your whitelist (in BleachBit version 5) or keeplist (in BleachBit version 6).What do you think of the options in issue 2018?
