Format Feature?

Forums:

Hello,

Is there an bootable ISO available for BleachBit that can format/wipe hard drives like Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN)? Is there a format/wipe feature within BleachBit to completely erase hard drives within Linux, Windows, etc?

'Integrate Shred' feature - issues resolved?

Forums:
Forum tags:

I want to install v1.12 for Windows. I'd like to have shred-ability from the FileExplorer context menu. However, when searching this forum for 'Integrate Shred' I've observed reported problems with this feature over the past several years. Have these issues been resolved? And is this feature now considered "solid"? Thx, Rob

Results Log Suggestion / Request

Forums:

The resulting log generated by BleachBit can be overwhelming when the whole kitchen sink is cleaned out.

I would like to request one easy feature request, and one wish item.

First the easy one:
Any line denoting an error should begin with three (3) asterisks.

example:

*** (Error 5 Access Denied)

How BleachBit could be the number 1 universal tool...

Forums:
Forum tags:

So I have been thinking, and I have seen the new (well to me) shred feature, This well got me thinking of AVG.
I know this could be over the top but BleachBit would be my number one tool if it had a small anti-virus with and exceptions feature. And it would stick it to AVG with it's annoying offers and pop-ups with it. Andrew you don't have to make this feature but I think it would be great :). Thanks for everything you do and keep it up!

Option to Clear Partition Trash

Suggestion: Add an option so that when running as root you can clean out ALL trash files on all partitions. Currently, you have no way to use BleachBit to clean out trash in places like /usr/local or /opt if they are separate partitions.

set a time to run bleachbit

Possible new feature would be able to set BleachBit to run at a set time. For example set to run once a week at 12:00am.

Seamonkey ignored

Forums:
Forum tags:

After testing Bleachbit for the last few months on several versions of Linux, I find it never reports touching any Seamonkey files. Nor can I find evidence of any cleaning. I notice the XML file for Seamonkey looks in '~/.mozilla/default' which hasn't been used in quite some time AFAIK. It's been '~/.mozilla/seamonkey' for quite awhile. However, correcting that XML listing didn't help. I don't know Python code, but using grep shows firefox in several files, but no mention of seamonkey. I use both Firefox and Seamonkey. Is there a reason for this exclusion?

LibreOffice

Forums:

This is only a suggestion to include a LibreOffice cleaner whenever possible. It should be relatively easy, since it uses the same preferences and file structure as OpenOffice.org, except the only difference is the name of the parent directory.

$HOME/.libreoffice/3/user/ is where the user preferences and recent documents are saved under Linux systems.
