The cleaning is not being done thoroughly.

"After finishing the cleaning, when I run another cleaning program (Auslogics BoostSpeed) again, it shows a message about msedge.exe regarding a browser I failed to close. It's ridiculous."

I checked all the items in the settings and turned off only empty space and shellbags.

Would you please clarify your message? Do one of these fit your scenario?

  1. BleachBit skipped Microsoft Edge, but I didn't notice.
  2. BleachBit should close Microsoft Edge for me
  3. BoostSpeed cleaned files that BleachBit missed
  4. Why is Edge running? Or, I believe Edge isn't running, so why does BleachBit claim that Edge is running

1) "Like other cleaning programs, I thought it terminated msedge.exe and finished all the cleaning. However, through a popup in Auslogics, I later realized that the cleaning had been performed while multiple instances of msedge.exe were still running and had not been closed. Therefore, upon closely examining BleachBit's scan logs, I confirmed that it was unable to terminate msedge.exe. It appears that Auslogics can terminate the process, but BleachBit is failing to do so."

2)I think that's only natural, since it's a cleaning program.

3)I think Auslogics BoostSpeed actually does the cleaning. The reason is that after completing all cleaning with BleachBit first, when I run a cleanup with BoostSpeed afterward, it shows results indicating that an average of 70 to 100 MB of files were cleaned.

4)I thought all exe files had closed because I surfed the web using the Edge browser and then closed the program. However, since BoostSpeed showed that they weren't being terminated, I discovered that `msedge.exe` wasn't shutting down completely. As for the reason why, I have no idea.
4) I don't know the exact reason, but like BoostSpeed, I believe BleachBit should also forcefully terminate lingering instances of `msedge.exe` to ensure a thorough and complete cleanup.
