BleachBit 4.9.2 beta

We invite you to test BleachBit 4.9.2 beta, a precursor to our 5.0.0 major release. This may be the final release before 5.0.0.

Changes

Since version 4.9.1 alpha:

  • Added metadata such as version number and company to the Windows executables
  • Improved X11 vs Wayland detection on Linux.
  • Improved translations.
  • Improvements to the build process

Highlights of changes since version 4.6.2 stable release:

  • Cleans more files.
  • Add option to manually select any language.
  • Add AppIndicator icon on Linux.
  • Press CTRL+Q or CTRL+W to close the application.
  • Limit detection of running process to same user for multi-user systems.
  • Make major improvements to stability, build process, and code cleanup.
  • Make major updates to the Python and GTK framework used on Windows.

See the downloads folder. Linux users can download .deb or .rpm packages, while Windows users can download a digitally signed installer or a portable package.
