Forums:
Greetings. I am a new member, using BleachBit for the first time. When I do a preview, there are several files or folders that show warning symbols to the left of the checkbox and the files/folders are not checked and cannot be checked.
I searched the documentation and forum but cannot find any clue as to what the warning is telling me. Is it because those are special folders and cannot be cleaned? One example, there are others, that seems like it could be cleaned is Recent Documents List, under Windows Explorer. Can you tell me what the warning is for and what happens if I clean with those showing? Are those folders cleaned or not cleaned?

BleachBit 6.0.0 introduced
BleachBit 6.0.0 introduced the new Expert Mode system that protects against potential mistakes. It is enabled by default, and when enabled, one effect is that cleaning options with warnings cannot be enabled.
Under the cleaner Windows Explorer, the option Recent Documents List is an example of an option with a warning: "This option will reset pinned locations in Quick Access to their defaults."
If Expert Mode is disabled and the user tries to enable a cleaning option with a warning, there should be an infobar that appears near the top of the window, underneath the title bar. The infobar states "This option is protected. To bypass protection, enable expert mode." Does the infobar appear for you?
Since the 6.0.0 release, most feedback has been related to confusion about Expert Mode, so I am looking for ways to make the application more intuitive and the documentation more helpful. Feel free to point out any gaps, like documentation that is not helpful. I have been making improvements, especially to the 6.0.0 release notes and Expert Mode documentation page (which is new), so it may have changed since you last looked.
This is (silent) video demonstrating how Expert Mode works with options with warnings, including what you encountered (including the infobar that should explain what to do), enabling Expert Mode, and then enabling an option with a warning.(You can ignore the rest of the page, which includes a bug report.)
