Portable BB - retain settings when updating

Hi there, I'm a newbie for BB and use its portable version.

My issue is that whenever I update it by overwriting the existing files with the updated files, I lose all settings. I suppose I'm overwriting some settings file. Would that be BleachBit.ini?

Yes, BleachBit.ini keeps all the settings, like which cleaning options you chose.

By the way, the presence of this file tells BleachBit to run in portable mode. If the file is absent, the settings are stored under the %APPDATA% directory.
