Forum suggestions

Forums:

So just an idea, but it would be nice if this forum supported signatures, meaning like a text posted on the bottom that applies every time you make a post. I figured with this feature, a lot of us can post our system specs here, thus we wouldn't have to ask what your system specs are. Of course, you can still put anything here, but I figured it would help speed up support.

Done! I also enabled user photos.

To set your signature and photo, visit My Account and then click the Edit tab.

Thanks, however, I noticed that the signatures do not show on the topic starters. Anyway to fix that?

After some searching, no, there is not a straight-forward to show signatures for the original forum post.

Hey Andrew. Is there anyway you can make email notifications on new forum topics? Currently, it only notifies if you had posted in a topic or created one yourself, but I wish to be notified if other create topics, too.

There are add-ons to the forum that can be installed, but they look like a pain.

Two options are

1. RSS aggregation to combine the feeds for the individual forums. I started this in chimpfeedr, and I am waiting for it to finish.

2. On the backend there is a place I can put your email address. This is how i get notified.

Go ahead and put me on the backend.

The back-end allows only one user, so I setup an RSS aggregation of individual forum feeds on this site using rssmixer.com and then published it using feedburner, which allows various kinds of subscriptions including by email.

To subscribe, please see the BleachBit Forums Feed on Feedburner
