Bleachbit portable 4.0.0 is not working with Windows 64 bit 1909 build 18363.778

Bleachbit portable 4.0.0 is not working with Windows 64 bit 1909 build 18363.778. Version 4.0.0 will not run but 3.2.0 will.

When right clicking on bleachbit.exe, properties and details for version 3.2.0, I see the file version and product version.
When right clicking on bleachbit.exe, properties and details for version 4.0.0, I don't see anything for the file version and product version.

The missing version inside the .exe file is a known issue tracked here https://github.com/bleachbit/bleachbit/issues/879

Tell me more about the "will not run". You mean the BleachBit window never shows up? Is there any error message?

For troubleshooting, please try running bleachbit_console.exe. Are there any error messages there? Do you at least see the black window?

When running bleachbit-console.exe, I get a black window. This happens on my work laptop so no worries. It works as intended on my sister's laptop. I guess it's something crazy about my work laptops. Thanks so much for responding. I'll just run 3.2.0 on my work laptop.

One person reported that that version 4.0.0 takes longer to start, so what if you wait at least 60 seconds?

Also, which antivirus software do you use? I am wondering if the antivirus is slowing down the startup as it scans it.

When running bleachbit_console, I get two black windows that open. They both close and the BleachBit gui never opens. Anti virus is CylanceProtect. It's no biggie. I can use the older version on my work laptop.

Windows 10 2004 (May Update)
Bleachbit 4.0 installed as a 32 bit application on a 64 bit system. Is this OK?
Bleachbit launches, keeps the processor busy at more than 50%, but the Bleachbit GUI remains invisible.
Bleachbit is now running in compatibility mode with Windows 8. Windows 10 found Bleachbit incompatible with my system.
Bleachbit is now running but it logs many red line errors.
Bleachbit started misbehaving before the May update, and after the previous 2 security updates.

Try version BleachBit 3.2.0 with Windows update 2004. I had issues with another work machine running Windows update 1909. Maybe some Windows recent update is causing this issue. Use BleachBit 3.2.0 in the meantime. I'm happy Andrew created this software!
