Bleach Bit Getting Stuck - Does Not Complete Scan

Forums:

I've been having problems with Bleach Bit recently. If I run it as the root user (administrator), it gets "stuck" (will not complete) if I have a check mark by everything EXCEPT for "Memory". Even if I uncheck the items listed under "Deep Scan", it still gets "stuck" (will not complete). It always seems to do this at the point where it lists "Clipboard 0" in the main screen.

If I run it in normal mode, it still gets stuck. In normal mode, I have a check mark by everything EXCEPT for "Memory" and the items listed under "Deep Scan". Once again, it gets stuck at the point where it lists "Clipboard 0" in the main screen.

It worked for awhile in the past and I was able to do daily scans. When I now do a "Preview", it shows only 990 kb. That's kb, not mb. A very small amount of information for a system cleaner to scan through and delete.

I let it run for as long as 10 minutes as the root user before closing it down. I run it for as long as 10 minutes in the normal mode as well before closing it down.

I initially used the older version listed under the Ubuntu Software Center and came across this "hang up" problem yesterday. I deleted the older version and then downloaded and installed the newest version 0.7.4. It still gets stuck at the "Clipboard 0" point.

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) and have everything shut down before doing the scan (Firefox is closed).

I've given some pretty detailed info in hopes that someone can help.

Uncheck 'free disk space' which is very slow. It can easily take 30 minutes (more or less depending how much free disk space you have).

It worked! Thanks for your help. I'm getting some error messages but I'll post those on a new thread.
