Simple formatting utility to use on forum like BB, that only supports HTML tags?

A few forums like this one don't allow BB code or "standard" HTML code - but only allows certain HTML tags.

Is there a well known (extension?) or something that would work w/in Firefox to do the formatting, since formatting tools aren't supplied?

I searched Google for "firefox addon fckeditor" and found Write Area. There is another called Xinha Here!. Let me know...
