I downloaded BleachBit (for Linux) because my drive was nearly full, and I was pleasantly surprised. However, BleachBit 'only' recovered a gigabyte or so.
When manually combing my /home/, I found that the logfiles:
~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.old
~/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.old.log
together were a whopping 41 GIGABYTES.
Also, I had many many files in /home/ called ~/xbmc_crashlog-_.log
Of course, the verbosity varies between version and build, but the annoying buildup of crashlogs is something that seems steady throughout different versions. ;)

I tried to run Bleach Bit and got a message that a newer version was available. I uninstalled the old version and new version will not install. I get and error message to abort/retry/skip and unless I hit skip continuously it will not proceed. Any suggestions?
Can this still be run in Windows 8. Or will there be issues? Everything installed fine, Just want to double check with the creator as a safety measure

I recently installed Bleachbit 0.9.3 for my Windows 7 PC. I went under >Preferences>Custom>Add-Folder, and added my user's downloads folder to be deleted. I run BleachBit and use the "clean" option, and it doesn't delete anything in my downloads folder. I also noticed that my user's downloads folder automatically gets white listed under Bleachbit preferences.
Sorry if this isn't a bug and something I've done myself, but I've just switched from CCleaner to Bleachbit. It's still a new experience for me.

System is Windows 7 (64-bit), or Windows 7 (32-bit), or Vista, or Windows XP, etc
BleachBit is 0.9.2 and is being ran as the console version on multiple PCs
I've got a Windows .CMD file (lmi-tmpbatch.cmd) that I need to be protected for deletion by BleachBit (i.e. whitlisted), but the folder the file appears is is randomly named, for example:
C:\Windows\temp\LMIPKG187DBA6\lmi-tmpbatch.cmd
C:\Windows\temp\LMIPKG658YT443\lmi-tmpbatch.cmd
C:\Windows\temp\LMIPKG12JKY88J\lmi-tmpbatch.cmd
So how do I keep BleachBit for deleting this file?

I posted this in support hoping for clarification but it seems that it should not have been posted in that section as it has n/a after it. I hope the discussions section can help.
Query regarding Vacuum of Firefox 11 profile using Bleachbit 0.9.2 in Windows 7..
I do not understand why Bleachbit Vacuum saves 8.2mb of disc space when Firefox is not running but on loading Firefox the file size reverts back to how it was before vacuum was run at 10.2mb.
Vacuum 8.2MB C:\Users\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3jki4zf92.default\places.sqlite
Disk space recovered: 12.8MB

Thanks for your time,
